Hey there! I’m Emily and I’m so glad you’re here!
I grew up in South Carolina. That means 3 things: I have an accent; I love football; and I was raised to eat. A lot. Of fried foods. Covered with enough butter to make Paula Dean proud. Is it delicious? Um, YES! But it doesn’t go unnoticed on your backside, nor your arteries!
I went to college at the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!), and while attending nursing school I took a nutrition class that really impacted me. I learned so much in this class and knew immediately that I had a passion for healthy living, but there was one problem… my lifestyle wasn’t quite the poster child for good nutrition. My first nursing job was on a hematology oncology floor at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. I LOVED that job for so many reasons! I was able to care for people in need. I was able to make them happy and help with their pain. I was able to work with patients fighting for their lives every single day, and if that doesn’t change your outlook on life then something is wrong!!
I learned that life is precious and that I need to be more mindful of mine. Gaining this appreciation for my body and being more aware of the degenerative diseases that run so prevalently in my family, I knew I had to start making baby steps to a healthier lifestyle. Those baby steps have led me to where I am today… the healthiest I’ve ever been!
I want to help women like YOU understand nutrition and learn how to live a healthy lifestyle. And more importantly, love it! I will walk every step with you on this new journey.
Why? Because I know that YOU are worth it!
I learned so much while taking these baby steps. It wasn’t all “peachy”, maybe “peach ice cream”, but not “peachy.” Meaning, it wasn’t easy but I have found some amazing tips that got me through it and has made my life so much easier. Learning how to control cravings so you don’t feel defeated day after day is just one tip I’d love to share with you! These tips not only helped me, but I’m passing these good habits along to my precious children, which is PRICELESS! And you can do the same.
So what do I do now?
After my husband and I welcomed our second baby into our little family, we decided that it was really important to us for me to stay home with them while they are small. I knew I had other talents and interests. I knew I loved to inspire and teach nutrition, so I decided to become an INSPIRE HEALTH COACH to do just that!

A few more tidbits that you might need to know:
- My most favorite place in the entire world is on a Carolina beach, with the hot sun beaming down and an ice cold Coke Zero. (With strict moderation, guilty pleasures are all that more fun!)
- I tend to over exaggerate circumstances in my life. I feel it gets my point across faster, as I see it in my head. Especially with my husband!
- I’ve been pulled over more times than you can count, but I’ve never gotten a ticket. That’s what a little southern charm will do!
- If you tickle me, I lose all control over my body. It goes into full beast mode and someone always ends up getting hurt. Just don’t tickle me!
- I love to swim. But for the life of me I can’t tread water or float on my back. I’ve had lessons and more lessons. I sink to the bottom every single time. And that is no exaggeration!
- My religion, my family and my dog are the most important things in my life. I am one blessed girl!
